Summary: The Honorary Scripting Guys for 2015 are announced in this blog post.

Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, is here. I have been pretty busy—I missed work because of my ear surgery and the holidays, so I have enlisted the help of the Scripting Wife, Teresa Wilson, to write this post to announce the 2015 Honorary Scripting Guys. I gave her the names and she did the rest.

Wow, that is almost exactly what I wrote last year, and it holds true for this year. The main difference is that the recovery time from my ear surgery was quite a bit longer than I anticipated. Hopefully that is the last ear surgery for me. Here’s Teresa…

Hello everyone! You know I do not try to hide things about myself nor do I try to embellish my qualities. I am what I am. I have strong points and weak points. Writing is not one of my strong points and repetition is one of the most useless things all around, in my opinion. We are scripters and automators, and we do not like to repeat.

Ed used some of his same words from last year, so why should I change things at this point? I am going to start out by snagging some of Ed’s words from two years ago and reuse them. I also would like to thank all the guest bloggers for contributing so much while Ed was off work. You all rock!

Per Ed: What does it take to become an official Honorary Scripting Guy? It takes an extreme commitment to the scripting community, a remarkable dedication helping to spread the good word about Windows PowerShell, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in producing exceptional content. Which brings us up-to-date. Now without much delay, I am happy to introduce you to two new Honorary Scripting Guys.  Will Anderson and Dave Wyatt.

Here is a little more info about them.

2015 Honorary Scripting Guys biographies

Will Anderson

Will Anderson is Compliance and System Center Configuration Manager. He has over ten years of experience as an infrastructure veteran with a specialization in patch management. Working in environments ranging from 80 users to over 150,000, Will has acquired knowledge of a broad range of products and service lines ranging from Exchange Server, Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, to the operating system platform and a variety of applications.

In recent years, he’s become quite the Windows PowerShell nerd, and he blogs about the latest, new and cool things he finds or creates to make his life as an admin and engineer easier. You can find him on PowerShell.org as a moderator, webmaster, and occasional writer.

Ed also gave me a list of previous year’s Honorary Scripting Guy recipients who have made a significant contribution to the Hey, Scripting Guy! Blog in 2015. If they were not already Honorary Scripting Guys, they would be!

Congratulations to the newest Honorary Scripting Guys, and also a huge thanks to all the guest bloggers.

I invite you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. If you have any questions, send email to me at scripter@microsoft.com, or post your questions on the Official Scripting Guys Forum. Also check out my Microsoft Operations Management Suite Blog. See you tomorrow. Until then, peace.
