Summary: Guest blogger and PowerShell MVP, Teresa Wilson talks about Windows PowerShell community events.
Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, is here. It is the last Saturday of October, and that means it is PowerShell Spotlight day with guest blogger, Teresa Wilson.
Hello everyone. I hope you are having a scriptastic day! The MVP Summit starts tomorrow. I am looking forward to being in Washington with other MVPs and speaking with the PowerShell team.
I know of three events on the horizon to let you know about. The first is on November 12. Ed Wilson will be the guest on the PowerScripting Podcast hosted by MVPs Hal Rottenberg and Jon Walz.
The next item is Techmentor in Orlando. That is November 16-20. Ed and I will not be there, but it looks like PowerShell is being well represented. I saw speaker's names including Jason Helmick, Jeff Hicks, and Don Jones. I also saw a name that I want to give a shout out to. Michael Wiley is doing sessions about Sysinternals. Michael is a Microsoft premier field engineer, and he is also a PowerShell friend. Michael was a great help at the two PowerShell Saturday events we hosted in Charlotte, and I want to give him a little recognition.
Last but not least, registration opens on December 1 for the PowerShell and DevOps Global Summit, which will happen on April 4-6, 2016 in Bellevue, WA.
Bonus item! We do not have a date confirmed, but there will be a PowerShell Saturday in the spring of 2016 in Florida. Probably in Tampa, but cannot make that announcement until we have the venue and date confirmed. It will be event #010. Will keep you posted.
That’s all I have for today. Have a great weekend.
~Teresa
