Summary: Ed Wilson, Microsoft Scripting Guy, presents a video that shows how to use Windows PowerShell to collect network traces.

Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, is here. Today I'm present a video where I show how to use Windows PowerShell to collect network traces. The steps I show are common commands that will normally be run to set up and collect network tracing. I talk about the following:

  • Creating the session
  • Adding the provider
  • Starting the session
  • Ending the session
  • Importing the log
  • Removing the session

Note  For more information about this technique, see Use PowerShell to Parse Network Trace Logs.

Join me tomorrow when I will talk about more cool Windows PowerShell stuff.

I invite you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. If you have any questions, send email to me at scripter@microsoft.com, or post your questions on the Official Scripting Guys Forum. See you tomorrow. Until then, peace.
